We have a good core of volunteers, it’s amazing how people will call up, or stop in or contact one of the directors and say I want to help out.   People are genuinely interested in helping out .

 

I love talking to our clients especially when they’ve got young kids. I kind of sneak maybe a package of crackers or cookies and especially if the kids are anxious and not ready to sit and wait in line which sometimes takes a little bit of time. I feel very blessed to have been here. We’re pretty flexible about when you’re working .

 

If you can’t make it or if you’re going to be out of town as a Snowbird, you could still volunteer the rest of the year. We fill in then those months are gone. It’s a short period of time once a month and you’re busy. You’re going to be busy the time goes fast, the camaraderie of the other volunteers, the friendliness of the people we work with and help serve. It’s just very rewarding,
